EpochEpoch shows what happened on this date in history, every day, in a few minutes of reading. Most answers are below. Settings is the gear at the top of Today.
Restore a purchase
On a new phone, or after reinstalling: Settings → Support → Restore purchases, signed in to the same Apple or Google account you paid with.
Remove the ads
Settings → Support the app. Pay once — not a subscription — and the ads are gone for good, along with every date in history. Today's events are always free.
The daily notification
Turn it on, and choose its time, in Settings → Daily notification. If it does not arrive, check that your phone allows notifications from Epoch; Settings shows Allow notifications when it does not.
Text size and theme
Settings → Reading. The theme follows your phone, or stays light or dark. The text comes in three sizes: Comfortable, Large and Largest.
Names on the streak board
Your name is shown only if you turn it on, in Settings → Who can see you. To report another name, press and hold it and choose a reason.
Where the events come from
Wikipedia, under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike licence. Each event links to the article it came from.
Refunds
Purchases are made through Apple or Google, so refunds are too: ask through the App Store or Google Play.
